ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's tennis team will close out the 2025-26 season on the road against a pair of nationally-ranked Ivy League opponents when it meets No. 62 Dartmouth and No. 69 Harvard. The Big Red and the Big Green will square off on Saturday, April 18 before traveling to face the Crimson on Sunday, April 19. Both matches will begin at 1 p.m.
The Big Red sports a 7-11 record on the season under Interim Carl H. Meinig '31 Head Coach of Women's Tennis
Spencer Furman following tight losses last weekend to nationally-ranked Princeton and Penn. Cornell owns wins over Dartmouth (4-3), Buffalo (5-2) and UConn (4-3) this spring, among others. The team's balanced lineup has gained valuable experience during a competitive fall season, highlighted by strong individual performances at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships and Ivy League Conference Masters events. The Big Red will be in search of its first Ivy League conference win of the year, as well as its first win over a ranked opponent since picking up a 4-3 win at No. 43 Columbia on March 26, 2022.
Sophomore
Sage Loudon (15-11) and junior
Michelle Ryndin (12-10) have played in the top spot in the lineup with junior
Victoria Zhao (13-11), sophomore Andrea Martinez de los Rios (13-10) and freshman
Dylan Gelber (15-12) also mainstays in the lineup. Loudon also sports a 3-0 record in singles in Ivy competition. Loudon and Ryndin have a team-best seven wins together in doubles from their spot at No. 1.
No. 62 Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 13-7 record and a 2-3 Ivy mark with eyes on snapping a three-match skid. The Big Green is 7-1 on its home courts and owns victories over Boston College, Toledo and Michigan State and kicked off conference play with triumphs over Harvard and Penn. Now in his 25th season, Dartmouth head coach Bob Dallis' team is led at the top of the lineup by Peyton Capuano (9-9), Michela Moore (12-6), Lauren Han (10-8) and Sam Grosjean (6-8) have seen a majority of the time at the top of the ladder for the Big Green. Dartmouth leads the all-time series 35-12, though the Big Red has won three straight, including a 4-3 decision at the ECAC Indoor Championships in Princeton earlier this spring.
The 69th-ranked Crimson are 11-9 overall (1-4 Ivy) entering the final weekend for 19th-year head coach Traci Green. Harvard owns victories this season over Dartmouth, Memphis, UMass and Florida Atlantic. Stephanie Yakoff, an NCAA individual qualifier in the fall, has an 18-5 overall record while playing at No. 1, while Kavya Karra (19-7 at No. 2) and Claire Show (15-10 at No. 3) round out the top-half of the lineup. The Crimson lead the all-time series with a commanding 45-5 advantage and have won 10 consecutive matches between the programs.
