Catherine White and
Karlee Overguard both had a pair of goals to lead the Cornell women's hockey team to a 6-1 victory over visiting Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at Lynah Rink, keeping the Big Red perfect in ECAC Hockey play. The win also handed Dartmouth its first loss of the season in four contests.
Laura Fortino and
Chelsea Karpenko also scored a goal for the Big Red (6-1, 4-0 ECAC Hockey) on the day, while
Hayley Hughes continued her strong weekend with three assists. Karpenko added an assist for a multi-point game,
Olivia Cook and
Jessica Campbell both added a pair of helpers, and
Alyssa Gagliardi and
Hayleigh Cudmore each added an assist.
Amanda Mazzotta stopped 25 shots in claiming the victory.
Dartmouth's (3-1, 3-1 ECAC Hockey) lone goal came off the stick of Camille Dumais, with Amanda Trunzo collecting an assist. Lindsay Holdcroft picked up the loss in goal, making 17 saves on the night.
Cornell went 1-for-6 on the power play on the night, while Dartmouth finished the game 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
Cornell takes a week off and returns to action on Fri., Nov. 19, when it takes on Princeton in a 3 p.m. contest at Lynah Rink.
