ITHACA, N.Y. — The women's tennis team fell to Ivy-League leading Yale, 7-0, in a Sunday match at Reis Tennis Center. The 28th-ranked Bulldogs are now 16-3 and a perfect 4-0 in league play.
Sophomore
Ryann Young was the lone Big Red player to force a third set in a singles match, eventually falling to Hanna Yu, 3-6, 6-4, (10-7). Yale, which has four doubles combinations in the national rankings, dropped just six games in straight-set doubles victories on Sunday. It was the Bulldogs' 15th straight victory in the all-time series.
Cornell (9-8, 1-4 Ivy League) was coming off a 4-3 victory over 60th-ranked Brown on Saturday – the squad's first win over a ranked team this season.
The Big Red will wrap up its season next weekend with a Friday trip to Penn before returning home for its finale against Princeton at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 22.
