PHILADELPHIA – The men's squash team completed a three-match sweep of its weekend on Sunday with a 7-2 decision over Penn, poising the Big Red to be one of the top seeds at the Potter Cup national championship in two weeks.
Cornell (16-3, 5-2 Ivy League) was dominant toward the top of the lineup, winning the matches at the top six spots in addition to freshman
Graham Dietz's five-game victory at No. 8. The other six victories for the Big Red came in the minimum three games against the 12th-ranked Quakers (4-10, 1-6).
Cornell entered the weekend ranked fifth, but is in position to move up after toppling top-seeded Princeton on Friday and surviving a tight match Saturday at No. 7 Franklin & Marshall. The Big Red finished fourth at last season's Potter Cup – the highest finish in program history.
