ABOUT THE BIG RED
The Big Red has won its last three, beginning with a 6-1 bounce-back rout of Mercyhurst before a 4-2 win over Boston University and a 4-0 blanking of Vermont en route to the Windjammer Classic title. The Big Red scored with 17.6  seconds left to tie Colgate, 3-3, on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Cornell's other ECAC Hockey points came with a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over No. 10/10 Princeton and a 2-2 draw with Union. Cornell fell in a conference game to Rensselaer in overtime, 2-1, and lost to then-No. 7/7 Quinnipiac, 3-1. In the first weekend of the season, Cornell dropped a pair of games to No. 2/2 Boston College, including a 4-1 loss where the Eagles' final two goals came as empty-netters. Entering Friday's contest, junior Hanna Bunton leads the team with 13 points (8-5—13).

ABOUT ST. LAWRENCE
The Saints have consistently been in the conference and national conversation this season, tying Northeastern, posting slim one-goal losses to ranked teams Clarkson and Harvard, and beating Princeton and Dartmouth. After dropping a pair of games to powerhouse No. 2/2 Boston College early in the season, 7-3 and 7-4, the Saints had not surrendered more than three goals in a game for eight straight games until ECAC Hockey-leading No. 4/4 Quinnipiac blanked St. Lawrence, 5-0, on Nov. 21. Sophomore Kennedy Marchment's 17 points on seven goals, including multi-point efforts against Harvard and Northeastern, lead the team. Grad student Amanda Boulier is close behind with five goals and 10 assists. Freshman Sonjia Shelly (4-5-1) has shouldered most of the work between the pipes, posting a 2.69 goals-against average and .909 save percentage. Sophomore Brooke Wolejko (4-1-1) has also seen a fair share of time in net, with a 2.40 goals-against average and .889 save percentage.

THE SERIES VS. ST. LAWRENCE
The Big Red holds a very slim 33-32-6 advantage over the Saints all-time. St. Lawrence may be looking to avenge the last time the teams met, when Cornell took the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals from the Saints in two games, 3-1 and 3-2 decisions. In the series-deciding game, St. Lawrence jumped out to a two-goal lead before the Big Red netted three unanswered third-period tallies. The Saints have not beaten Cornell since the 2012 ECAC Hockey Championship, when St. Lawrence took a 3-1 to seize the league title. The Big Red is 8-0-2 against the Saints since. The last time Cornell traveled to Canton, on Dec. 6, 2014, the Big Red left with a 4-2 win.

ABOUT CLARKSON
The Golden Knights have dominated out of conference, posting a 12-0-0 record, but have gone just 2-2-2 within ECAC Hockey. Clarkson's most challenging non-league series was with Boston University, in which the Golden Knights took 4-2 and 4-1 wins over the Terriers. In conference, Clarkson held Harvard to a scoreless tie and posted a draw with Dartmouth, but fell to Rensselaer (2-1) and Quinnipiac (3-0). The team's other conference points have come on wins over Union and Princeton. The Golden Knights' shutdown penalty kill has been key to their success, stopping over 90% of power-play chances. Junior Cayley Mercer leads the ECAC in points with 27 on 13 goals and 14 assists. Senior Olivia Howe is third in the conference with 20 points (9-11—20). Sophomore Shea Tiley (12-2-1) has been impressive in net, posting a 1.24 goals-against average and .939 save percentage.

THE SERIES VS. CLARKSON
The Big Red leads the all-time series 23-12-3. The last time the teams met, Cornell beat the Golden Knights, 3-1, in the ECAC Hockey Semifinal to advance to the league championship. In the regular season, the Big Red took a dominant 8-3 win in Potsdam in December but tied Clarkson, 1-1, in Ithaca in January. The Golden Knights' last win over Cornell came in a 3-1 decision at Cheel Arena on Jan. 25, 2014. Cassandra Poudrier leads the Big Red with six points (2-4—6) against Clarkson in eight career matchups with the Golden Knights.

ABOUT HEAD COACH DOUG DERRAUGH '91
Entering his 11th season directing Cornell women's hockey, Derraugh has brought the program to national prominence. He amassed a 189-112-24 record in his first ten seasons with the Big Red and has led the team to four ECAC Hockey Tournament Championships, four Ivy League Championships and five NCAA tournament appearances, including three trips to the Frozen Four. From 2009-10 to 2013-14, his teams notched five consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in program history.

WINDJAMMER WINNERS
The Big Red won the Windjammer Classic hosted by Vermont the weekend of Nov. 28-29, beating Boston University, 4-2, and Vermont, 4-0, for the team's first weekend sweep of the season. Senior captain Cassandra Poudrier was named the tournament MVP and earned All-Tournament honors after a five-point weekend. Forwards freshman Pippy Gerace and senior Taylor Woods and freshman goaltender Marlene Boissonnault were also named to the All-Tournament Team.

WEEKLY HONORS
Poudrier was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and Gerace earned Rookie of the Week honors the week of Nov. 30 for their performances in the Windjammer Classic. Poudrier posted two goals and three assists in the tournament while Gerace added two goals, including the game-winner against Boston University, and an assist.

PUTTING UP NUMBERS
After averaging just a goal a game in October, the Big Red has scored 23 goals over its last six games, netting at least three in five contests over that span. Once near the bottom of the national rankings for scoring offense, Cornell is now 15th in Division I with an average of 2.50 goals per game.

HATS OFF TO HANNA
Junior Hanna Bunton notched her first career hat trick, part of a four-point outing, in the Big Red's 6-1 rout of Mercyhurst on Nov. 21. The final of her three goals on the afternoon was her eighth of the season, a career high just 10 games into the year.

AT THE HART OF IT
Freshman Micah Hart recorded her first career points for Cornell in a three-point weekend against Mercyhurst. Hart scored the Big Red's lone goal on Nov. 20, redirecting a Bunton's shot from the point for the team's first power play tally of the season. The next day, she posted two assists, her first career multi-point game, in Cornell's 6-1 win, including setting up Buton's first goal, which stood as the game-winner. Hart added three assists in the Windjammer Classic and now has six points in her last four games.

WITH THE ADVANTAGE
In a weekend that saw 19 total power plays, the Big Red scored three man-advantage goals in the series against Mercyhurst. Cornell has now scored a power-play goal in each of its games since then, including three in a 4-0 win over Vermont.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Big Red is in the midst of a nine-game stretch away from Lynah Rink. Cornell will not play another home game until Jan. 15 when it hosts Yale. All of the Big Red's wins so far this season, though, have come on the road. The team is currently 5-2 away from Ithaca.

ALL HANDS ON DECK
Heading into this season, the team emphasized that the Big Red would need offensive production from all skaters, rather than just a few individuals, to be successful. After the Windjammer Classic, 17 of the 18 skaters who have seen playing time this season have now gotten on the scoresheet.

FRESHMEN FIREPOWER
With Micah Hart notching her first career points in the series with Mercyhurst, all five freshmen skaters now have multiple points on the season. An all-rookie line of Pippy Gerace, Lenka Serdar and Christian Higham sparked Cornell's rally from a two-goal deficit against Union, with Gerace poking home her first career goal and the Big Red's first of the game with assists from both of her linemates for Serdar and Higham's first Cornell points as well. Gerace now has four goals and an assist, Hart has a goal and five assists, and Diana Buckley, Serdar and Higham all have three points each.

LAST MINUTE LAMP LIGHTING
Senior Jess Brown scored the game-tying goal with 17.6 seconds left on Nov. 17 against Colgate, marking the second time this season the Big Red has scored with under a minute to go. Senior Taylor Woods netted the game-winner against No. 10 Princeton with 21 seconds remaining on Nov. 6.

BEATING THE UNBEATEN
Cornell's thrilling 2-1 win over then-No. 10/10 Princeton was the Tigers' first loss of the season, after going 4-0-0 in their first four games. Princeton was the last team in ECAC Hockey to surrender an unbeaten, untied record. The win was also the Big Red's first victory over a ranked opponent this season.

SHUTOUT STREAK SNAPPERS (x3)
*Taylor Woods' first goal at Princeton snapped Tigers goalie Alysia Dasilva's shutout streak of 118 minutes, 44 seconds. Dasilva's previous outing was a 4-0 blanking of Brown.
* Junior Hanna Bunton scored the Big Red's first goal of the season 4:50 into the third period on Oct. 24 against No. 2/2 Boston College, marking the first time BC goaltender Katie Burt had let a puck past her in over 150 minutes of play. Burt had posted back-to-back shutouts against New Hampshire and Maine the weekend before.
*Quinnipiac goaltender junior Sydney Rossman hadn't surrendered a goal in 81:28, riding a scoreless overtime draw against Colgate, when Bunton netted the first goal of the game at 12:29 of the first period on Nov. 7, an eventual 3-1 Bobcats victory.

THE PUCK STOPS HERE
Junior goaltender Paula Voorheis posted a spectacular performance in net in the Big Red's season opener against Boston College on Oct. 24. Against BC's potent offense, Voorheis made 40 saves, including stopping all 17 shots that came her way in the second period. Voorheis allowed just two goals on the night, with the Eagles' other two tallies coming in the form of empty net goals when Cornell pulled Voorheis in favor of an extra attacker in the games' waning moments.

GOING PRO
In the newly formed National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), teams can draft players entering their final year of NCAA eligibility in order to sign them once they finish their collegiate play. Senior captain Cassandra Poudrier was picked 18th overall in the 2015 NWHL Draft by the Connecticut Whale. Four Cornell women's hockey alumnae are currently playing in the league, which is in its first season: Alyssa Gagliardi '14 (Boston Pride), Lauren Slebodnick '14 (Boston Pride), Jenny Scrivens (Niesluchowski) '10 (NY Riveters) and Erin Barley-Maloney '13 (NY Riveters). In addition, eight former Cornellians are playing in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. Emily Fulton '15 was a first round CWHL draft pick this season, going to the Toronto Furies. Linemates Brianne Jenner '15 and Jill Saulnier '15 were both drafted by the Calgary Inferno, where they will join Rebecca Johnston '12, Jessica Campbell '14 and Hayleigh Cudmore '14. Laura Fortino '13 (Brampton) and Lauriane Rougeau '13 (Montreal) also play in the league.

*With her first goal of the game at Mercyhurst on Nov. 21, junior Hanna Bunton moved into a tie for No. 17 on the Cornell all-time list for game-winning goals with seven. Senior Taylor Woods is currently tied for the No. 23 spot with six. Bunton is two game-winners away from being tied for tenth.
