HANOVER, N.H. -- Megan Murray was 3-for-3 with a home run, but a two-out error in the sixth led to a three-run Dartmouth surge as the Big Green took a single game 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. 

Dartmouth took the pitcher's dual behind Breanna Ethridge, who scattered four hits and just a solo shot by Murray to open the seventh. She struck out three in capturing her fifth win of the season.

Dartmouth put its leadoff hitter on base all six innings, finally busting through against Maddie Orcutt for three consecutive hits after a two-out error kept the Big Green alive in the inning. Orcutt allowed three hits and no earned runs in two innings after Katie Lew started and went four, allowing just two hits and striking out three.

Murray, who finished a triple shy of the cycle, opened the seventh with a homer to right, her second of the season, but that would be as close as the Big Red would get. Jessica Bigbie had the only other hit for the Big Red on the day.

Cornell returns home on Thursday, April 13 at 3 p.m. when Siena visits Niemand*Robison Field for a doubleheader.
