Men's Track and Field Takes Nine Events at Greg Page Relays

ITHACA, N.Y.— Like its female counterparts, the Cornell men's track and field team won nine events to open the indoor season Saturday at the Greg Page Relays.
The Big Red went 1-4 in the men's 300m dash with Tomas Kersulis winning in a time of 33.57, Angus Dove followed with a 34.73, Christian Martin a 35.07 for third and Domenic Barresi ran a 35.17 for fourth. Kersulis' mark comes as the second-fastest in Big Red history while Dove's is sixth, Martin's is tenth and Barresi's comes as the Cornell freshman record. 
Martin also ran the eighth-best time in program history in the 60m hurdles, clocking an 8.08 for second in the event and Barresi turned in a 6.96 for third in the 60m dash.
Sam Young took the top spot in the 500 with a 1:07.22 and Jack Daly followed with a 1:07.85 for third.
The 'A' squad of Domenic Barresi, Christian Martin, Angus Dove and Tomas Kersulis won the 4x400 with a time of 3:18.78, while Jack Daly, Joshua Gittens, Jamaur Williamson and Billy Powers followed with a 3:24.55 for second. Mario Xerri, Jacob Windle, Pelham Bergesen and Jacob Pantoya took first in the 4x800 with a 8:08.10 and Bergesen, Pantoya, Windle and Jack Lenz also won the DMR in 10:33.38.
Otreyvien ​Taylor leaped 6-06.00 to take first in the high jump. Johannes Stromhaug came in first in the pole vault with a 16-03.25 clearing with Shane Racey following in second with a 15-09.25. Curtis Weh won the long jump with a 22-11.00.
In the throws cage, Dan Mead (55-05.50) and Brad Morell (51-11.75) took the two top sports in the shot put while Morell (56-03.25) and Phil Coppolino (55-10.50) went second and third in the weight throw. Mead's launch in the shot put gives him the tenth-best mark all-time for the Big Red.
The Big Red are back at Barton Hall on Saturday, Jan. 8 for the Southern Tier Invite.
