ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Cornell equestrian team finished as the high-point team in the second straight weekend at Alfred. The team finished atop the podium in three different events, powering the first place finish.
Lauren Benson opened the podium finishes with a second place performance in the Introductory class.
Claudia Arredondo followed suit with a third place finish in the Pre-Novice class. The Novice class saw the first multi-rider finish for the Big Red.
Caroline Gaudet finished first with
Natalie Morris wrapping up fourth. Second and fourth place finishes came in the Limit Flats.
Annalisa Piscitelli took second with
Emily Pecsok taking fourth. The Limit Fences was rode by
Clara Beck,
Caly Stewart, and
Taylor Haines. Beck earned the blue ribbon with Stewart and Haines tying for fifth.
Katherine Philipp placed second in the Intermediate Flats.
Riley Gerardo finished fifth in the Intermediate Flats and fourth in the Intermediate Fences.
Posie Price finished 6th in the Open Flats and fourth in the Open Fences.
Bianca Garcia finished in both events as well, grabbing fourth and third, respectively.
Alexandra Miranda finished second and
Isabel Hall wrapped up the day with a first place finish in the Open Fences.

The Big Red next competes at Regionals on Sunday, March 5th, where it sends its best riders in their chance to earn a spot at Zones.
