BOSTON, Mass. - The Cornell men's cross county team placed third at the Battle In Beantown on Friday morning from Franklin Park. This race featured programs from the likes of the Ivy League, ACC, and SEC. Among the four Ivy schools that participated in the run (Harvard, Pennsylvania, and Dartmouth), Cornell was second in line on the day, behind Harvard.

Senior runner Rhys Hammond led the way for the Big Red, pacing his way to a time of 23:54.6, which slotted him in for fourth-place.

Pierre-Antoine Attiogbe, a first-year runner, was the second Cornellian to cross the finish-line tape, earning an impressive 16th-place (24:25.5). Jake Gelfand (24.40.7), and Damian Hackett (24.53.6) were the next two finishers for Cornell, taking 25th-, and 35th-place, respectively.
