BOSTON – The Big Red rowing team sent three crews to the 45th annual Head of the Charles today in Boston, Mass., and came away with two top-five finishes. 
* In the championship-4 women's race, the crew of 
Cecelia Madsen, 
Taylor Goetzinger, 
Erica Crump, 
Caroline Post and 
Caitlin Runyan (coxswain) finished third overall, second among colleges crew, in a time of 19:17.209. 
* In the lightweight-8 men's race, the crew of Tom Davidson, 
Ian Horton, 
Will Miner, Mike Bohs, 
Ben Perry, 
Matt McManus, 
Kyle Traub, 
Matt Rung and 
Kerry Quinn (coxswain) finished fifth overall, fourth among college crews, in a time of 15:52.190. 
* In the championship-8 men's race, the crew of 
Colin Smith, 
Drew Baustian, 
Singen Elliott, 
Andrew Atwell, Fred Braun, Jim Voter, Steve Bigda, Chris Frendl and 
Ian Waters (coxswain) finished 19th overall, ninth among college crews, in a time of 15:29.353.
