CANTON, N.Y. --- Amanda Symons advanced to Nationals in Walk Trot as Cornell equestrian finished third in Zone 2 on Saturday at St. Lawrence.

The Big Red sent individual riders and riders competing on behalf of the team to Saturday's Zone Championships. In the individual events, Carlee Roberts placed third in Intermediate Fences while Shana Coffey finished fifth in Intermediate Flat. In Open Fences, Gabriella Stephenson and Victoria Whitworth placed fourth and seventh, respectively. Anne Case finished eighth in Walk Trot Canter.

Riding on behalf of the team, Chelsea Huss earned first in Open Fences, and Callie Boozer took a win in Walk Trot. Coffey added a third-place finish in Intermediate Fences, Erica Alfiero placed third in Novice Fences and Meridith Meyer took third in Open Flat. Tamara Thompson and Claira Seeley both earned fourth-place finishes for the team in Walk Trot Canter and Novice Flat, respectively.

Symonds, who finished first in Individual Walk Trot, will compete at the National Show in Lexington, Kentucky on May 5-8.
