ITHACA, N.Y. – The postseason push continued for Big Red sailing, as Cornell finished fourth overall and second among Ivy League teams for the Mosbacher Trophy on Sunday afternoon on Cayuga Lake. Yale claimed the Mosbacher Trophy with 148 points to place third overall, one spot and 18 points ahead of Cornell.

Big Red 1, skippered by Clark Uhl and crewed by Claire Riedman (races 1-9) and Julie Barbera (races 10-14) had five top five finishes and 11 of the 14 races in the top 10 for 86 points, good for fifth overall among A squads. The B division of Alex Woloshyn skippering and Dalton Brauer (races 1-9) and Lindsay Gimple (races 10-14) on the crew placed fourth with 80 points with eight races in the top five, inlcuing two thirds and two fourths.

Cornell's second entry, Big Red 2, placed 12th overall among the 16-team field. The A Division was made up of Luke Anderson (skipper), Andrea Farr and Rebecca Mount, while B Division included Thomas Balk and Robert Suriani (skippers) and Grace Harrison.

Racing also occurred for the Owen Trophy and the Knapp Trophy on the weekend.

The Big Red also competed at the Navy Spring Invitational, finishing 17th overall. Matthew Schofield skippered A Division, with Kimberly Wong and Perry Goodman serving as crew and had three top 10 finishes. Daniel Birmingham (skipper) and Diana Otis sailed B Division and placed as high as 13th twice.
