ITHACA, N.Y. — The men's squash team was defeated, 9-0, by second-ranked Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Belkin International Squash Courts in the Big Red's first match since Dec. 2.
Junior
Perry Hanson (No. 2) was the only competitor from Cornell (2-4, 0-2 Ivy League) to force a fourth game against a Crimson squad which lost just twice last year – both times to the eventual national champion, Trinity. The Big Red entered the weekend ranked 15th in the country by the College Squash Association, and it has now fallen to 2-48 all-time against Harvard.
The Big Red's attention now turns to a match at noon Sunday against 10th-ranked Dartmouth (5-1, 0-1 entering Saturday's match at Columbia). With a victory, Cornell could cause a shuffling in the order of potential Hoehn Cup qualifiers at season's end.
