MIAMI, Fla. -- The Cornell women's swimming and diving team went 1-2 on its winter training trip at the Florida International Quadrangular, defeating Calvin College (247-50) while taking losses to the home team (177-122) as well as Ivy rival Yale (235-64) on Thursday evening at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center. The Big Red posted six top three finishes at the meet.
Sisters Currie and
Billy Murch Elliot had three of the team's top finishes. Currie placed third in the 1,000 free (10:17.03), while Billy was second in the 100 breast (1:05.49) and third in the 200 breast (2:24.53).
Sarah Baturka joined
Billy Murch Elliot with a pair of top three efforts, placing third in both the 100 back (58.17), just .10 ahead of teammate
Helen Hsu in fourth, and the 200 IM (2:07.89).

Laurel Kiselis and Hsu placed third in the 400 relay to close the meet in 3:32.02.
