ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior
Margaux Losty forced a fifth game in her match at No. 3, but the women's squash team was ultimately handed a 9-0 loss by Yale on Sunday afternoon at Brady Squash Courts.
While there were a few games that required extra points up and down the lineup, fifth-ranked Yale (9-3) won seven of the scoring matches in the minimum three games. Cornell (10-4) had the most success toward the top of the ladder, with Losty going the distance at No. 3 and senior Michele Garceau forcing four games at No. 1.
The Big Red figures to remain eighth in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings as it hits the stretch drive of the regular season. Now 2-3 in Ivy League play, Cornell hosts Princeton on Friday before its final Howe Cup tuneup next Sunday at Penn.
