ORLANDO, Fla. — The baseball team surrendered three runs in the first inning and seven more in the fourth en route to a 16-0 loss to UCF on Sunday at Jay Bergman Field. The Knights swept the three-game series, dropping the Big Red to 6-7 on the year.
UCF (15-11) chased the Big Red's starter in building a three-run lead in the first inning, then broke the game open with Eli Putnam's three-run homer in the fourth. Putnam was 4-for-5 with seven RBIs on the day for UCF.

The Big Red's second Sunshine State trip of the season shifts to Winter Haven for games at 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rollins.
