OLEAN, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's swimming and diving team won 12 of 16 events and cruised to a 181-116 victory over St. Bonaventure on Friday after at the Reilly Center Pool. The Big Red improved to 4-5 on the season with its second straight dual meet win.
Currie Murch Elliot won the 200 free (1:54.07) by nearly five seconds and took the 200 IM (2:07.80) by more than four seconds clear of the field.
Hannah Bollinger (59.92) and
Billy Murch Elliot (1:00.16) went 1-2 in the 100 back. Bollinger also topped the field in the 200 back (2:07.54), while
Billy Murch Elliot won the 100 fly (58.44). Abby Benkert won the 200 fly (2:12.17) and the 100 free (53.93),
Helen Hsu (24.06) topped the field in the 50 free and
Sarah Baturka touched first in the 500 free (5:10.05).
Jessica Leipman (252.53) and
Emma Bryan (231.30) finished 1-2 in the 3-meter diving competition, while
Erika LaCasse had the second-highest score in the 1-meter (225.15), followed closely by Bryan (216.69) and Leipman (211.13).
Cornell won both relays on the day, finishing 1-2 in both the 200 medley and 200 free relays to kick off and cap off the meet.
The Big Red closes out dual meet season when it visits Brown on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
