ITHACA, N.Y. — The women's squash team defended its national ranking of No. 8 on Sunday with a 7-2 victory over 10th-ranked Dartmouth and a 9-0 sweep of 23th-ranked William Smith at Belkin International Squash Courts.
Against Dartmouth, Cornell (5-2, 1-2 Ivy League) took a 2-1 lead into the second rotation thanks to a three-game win from senior
Margaux Losty at No. 3 and a four-game triumph from sophomore
Colby Gallagher at No. 6. The Big Red then clinched the match with a sweep of the middle rotation, including three-game wins from senior Michele Garceau (No. 2) and sophomore
Madison Miles (No. 5).

Lucy Martin (No. 8) won in four for her fifth victory of the season, staying on pace with Garceau for the team lead. Cornell closed the gap in the all-time series with Dartmouth to 13-14, having now won 11 straight.
In the evening, the Big Red cruised in its annual match against its nearest foe. Freshmen Mimi DeLisser (No. 5),
