HANOVER, N.H. – Despite a pair of individual event wins from Sophia Cherkez and Demetra Williams, the Big Red women's swimming and diving team were unable to overcome Dartmouth and Harvard, falling to the Big Green, 169-131, and the Crimson, 201-94, on Friday afternoon at the Karl Michael Pool in Hanover, N.H.
Cherkez has gotten her junior campaign off to a strong start thus far, as she emerged victorious in the 200-yard IM with a winning time of 2:10.70. Allison Chang was Cherkez's partner in crime in the race, finishing second in 2:11.41 to help Cornell go 1-2 in the event.

Senior tri-captain Cape Murch Elliot swam her way to a fourth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.60), while also teaming up with Chang, Schaaf, and Parker to put together a fourth place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:47.48).
