THE MATCHUP: The Cornell men's lacrosse team closes out its non-conference schedule on Saturday when it travels to Lehigh  for a contest nationally broadcast on CBS Sports at 2:30 p.m. The Big Red is looking to win two in a row for just the second time this season after upsetting No. 11 Syracuse in a 10-9 overtime thriller on Tuesday night at Schoellkopf Field.

SERIES HISTORY VS. LEHIGH: Lehigh is the first collegiate opponent ever faced by the Big Red. The teams first met in 1893, and shared a pair of Intercollegiate Championships in 1914 and 1916, but have faced off just once since the 1955 season. The initial meeting in 1893 was won by the Mountain Hawks, 5-0, which began a 7-0 run for Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks own the lead in the all-time series 9-4-3, but the Big Red is riding a three-game winning streak, earning victories in 1954, 1955, and 2006.

LOOKING AT THE MOUNTAIN HAWKS: After going 4-1 to start the season, with its lone loss in the span coming in a 13-11 decision at No. 3 Duke, the Mountain Hawks have gone 2-5 to even its record at 6-6 on the year. Senior attackman Reid Weber leads the offense with 42 points on a team-high 30 goals. He has registered at least one goal in each game this season and has posted multi-point outings in 10-of-12 contests. Freshman line mate Tristan Rai has had an outstanding rookie campaign with 27 goals, while senior Billy Oppenheimer (14-13—27), junior Matt Raposo (15-11—26), and senior Alex Easton (13-11—24) have proven to be dual threats with double-digits goals and assists. The defense is led by senior defender Tripp Telesco and long-stick defensive midfielder Craig Chick, who combine for 4.6 caused turnovers per game. In net, sophomore Adam Sawicki and freshman Chris Kiernan have each seen action in seven games with six starts apiece. Sawicki has posted a 10.71 goals-against average and a .491 save percentage, while Kiernan has a 10.71 GAA and a .484 save percentage. In the face-off circle, Matt Ernst (60-133; .451) and Casey McAdam (39-115; .339) have taken the majority of draws with the squad winning just .387 percent.
