Cornell (4-3) trailed 5-1 after Bucknell (6-10) plated three in the bottom of the fifth — in part due to stranding the bases loaded in both the first and second innings. Junior

The Big Red then broke through for four runs — all scored with two out — by batting around in the seventh. Junior
Cole Rutherford pulled a double down the line in left, then later scored on a wild pitch. A Lowell walk then reloaded the bases, and Arndt drew an RBI walk. Cornell then tied the game when a fielding error allowed Price to score, then Wagner drove in the go-ahead run with the second bases-loaded walk of the inning.
Lewis emerged from the bullpen after Bucknell scored the tying run with one out in the seventh. After escaping the jam, he left the bases full with a strikeout and comebacker in the eighth. Bucknell then had the winning run on second in the ninth before Lewis induced another groundout to end the threat.
The teams resume the series with a doubleheader starter at noon Sunday, then the fourth and final game is scheduled for noon Sunday.
