About the Big Red
• Cornell is coming off of an 11-10 upset of then-ranked #4/5 USC on Sunday.
• The Big Red jumped out to 5-1 lead midway through the first half - and held a 9-4 lead just five minutes into the second half - but had to fend off a Trojan comeback; junior Taylor Reed put a stop to four-unanswered USC goals with a free-position conversion and game-winning goal with 1:52 to play.
• The Big Red moved to 2-0 in Ancient Eight play on March 11 with a 14-11 come-from-behind win over Columbia thanks to five goals from senior Catherine Ellis and five assists from senior Amie Dickson.
• Cornell traveled to Penn on March 4 and came away with a 10-4 win over the then-ranked #10/13 Quakers; the team used a scoring run of four goals to close out the first half with a 6-4 lead and then scored the only four goals of the second half to take the game.

About the Bulldogs
• Yale overcame a four-goal, second half deficit against Brown on Saturday, using six unanswered goals to steal the game, 12-10, and move to 1-1 in conference play.
• The Bulldogs had seven different goal scorers and totaled nine saves in goal.
• Yale comes into the game with an overall record of 5-3 (and a two-game winning streak).
• Hope Hanley leads the league –and Yale – in both points (41) and assists (23) while Tess McEvoy leads the team and league in goals (25) and is second overall in both in points (35).
• In the crease, Sydney Marks has played in seven games and holds a .427 save percentage and 10.03 goals against average while Allie Carrigan has seen time in four games and maintains an 8.98 goals against average and a .457 save percentage.

The Series with the Bulldogs
• In last year's Ivy League opener on Schoellkopf Field, the Big Red came away with a 10-6 win over the Bulldogs.
• That win was Cornell's ninth-straight over Yale and evened up the all-time series at 19-19.

A Win Would…
• Give Cornell a 3-0 Ivy League record.
• Move the Big Red's overall record to 6-1.
• Bump Cornell's all-time series lead to 20-19.
• Move Cornell's record away from Schoellkopf Field to 5-0, which would be the second-best road start in program history.

About Head Coach Jenny Graap '86
• Now in her 20th season directing the Cornell women's lacrosse program in 2017, Jenny Graap amassed a 180-120 record in her first 19 seasons as the head coach of the Big Red, with her 200th overall career win coming in the form of a 11-10 win over Penn in the 2016 Ivy League Tournament Championship.
• Graap began her head coaching career at George Mason, taking over the program in its first sponsored season in 1994 and amassing a 21-44 record over four seasons.
• Cornell has made the Ivy League tournament each of the last five seasons and six of the seven years that the tournament has been held.
•  Graap guided the Big Red to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments in 2001 and 2002 – reaching the semifinals in the latter year – and also brought the team to the tournament in 2006 and 2016.
• Since she returned to her alma mater in 1997, Graap has led the team to postseason play nine times and has won at least 10 games eight times as well.

Taking Down the Trojans
• Cornell's 11-10 win over the then-ranked #4/5 USC Trojans on Sunday marked the program's first over a team ranked in the top five of the polls since a 9-6 upset of #2 Florida in the final game of the 2011 season.
• The win helped Cornell jump up four spots in both national polls, as the Big Red moved from 11th to seventh with the win.
• Senior goalkeeper Renee Poullott made 10 saves – including six in the second half – to help secure the upset of a USC squad that entered the game averaging 14.83 goals per game.

Defensive Dominance
• Cornell is giving up just 7.67 goals per game, the fifth best mark in the nation.
• The team held then #10/13 Penn scoreless in the second half on March 4, marking the first time since 2011 that the Big Red held a team without a goal in a half.
• The Big Red held Colgate scoreless for over 30 minutes of play in its 13-6 win on March 7.
• On March 19 against USC, the Big Red limited a Trojan offense that had been averaging 14.83 goals per game to 10 scores.
• Cornell went the first four games of the season without allowing an opponent to score more than nine goals, something the program hadn't done since 2008.

• Goalkeeper Renee Poullott made a season-high 10 saves in Cornell's 11-10 win over USC on March 19.
• It was the seventh time in her career that Poulott made at least 10 saves in a game – and the performance earned her the fifth Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week award of her career.
