ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell Equestrian team took first place in the Ivy Show at the Oxley Equestrian Center on Sunday.
In the open fences,
Emily Selland took second place, while
Lena Reeb placed third and
Vaughan Shanley and
Sophie Harlam placed fourth in their respective classes. Selland also took second in the open fences championship, while Shanleyb placed fifth in the championship portion.
In the intermediate fences,
Daisy Fenwick placed first, while
Haley Harder took second and
Emma Mayer earned fourth place. Each of the riders earned the same placement for the championship section.
In the novice fences,
Lucia Younger and Megan Raucher each placed first in their respective classes. Katherine Carcappa and
Stephanie Introne each earned third place finishes. Raucher placed second in the novice fences championship, while Younger took fourth and Carcappa finished fifth.
Shanley took third in the open flat. Also competing in the open flat was
Sophie Harlam, who took fourth place, and Selland, who took fifth place. In the championship section Shanley took first place.
In the intermediate flat,
Jada Davis took first place and Samantha Levkulic placed sixth. Both earned the same placement for the championship segment.
Kate Wagner and
Melissa Schaefer earned first place finishes in the novice flat.
Liza Pacchiana took second, while
Mackenzie Raucher took third,
Anjali Velu placed fourth and
Madeline Kinnear placed fifth. In the championship segment, Pacchiana placed first, Schaefer took second and Wagner rode to a fifth place finish.
Mariam Khan took first in the walk trot canter.
Indigo Pavlov placed second, while
Lara Carr,
Hannah Roman and
Emma Cameron each earned third place finishes in their classes and
Indigo Pavlov and
Catherine Thrasher placed fourth. Khan also took first place in the championship round
In the walk trot both
Sophie Slutsky and
Hannah Braun earned first place finishes, while
Jenna Toor placed second. Braun took first place in the championship, while Slutsky and Toor placed second and fourth, respectively.
