About The Bearcats
• Binghamton is currently 6-7 on the season with a 3-2 record in the America East conference, its best conference start in school history.
• Last Saturday the Bearcats took on conference opponent Hartford and absolutely dominated, collecting a 24-1 victory.
• The team's goal total set a new program record as 13 different players found the scoreboard.
• The game's first 18 goals belonged to Binghamton as Hartford finally notched a score with 17:20 left in the second half.
• Tiffany Ryan led the way with a quartet of goals while Brianne Arthur and Paige Volkmann each had hat tricks.
• Three of the Bearcats' goalkeepers got time on the field, with Taylor Passuello earning the win with three saves in 25:07 of game action.
• Passuello has a goals against average this season of 10.19 and a save percentage of .473.
• Amelia Biancardi controlled nine draws on the day and Jaqueline Kennedy caused two turnovers.
• Kennedy is second in the nation in caused turnovers, averaging 3.15 per contest.

About Head Coach Jenny Graap '86
• Now in her 21st season directing the Cornell women's lacrosse program in 2018,
Jenny Graap amassed a 193-126 record in her first 20 seasons as the head coach of the Big Red, with her 200th career win coming in the form of a 11-10 victory over Penn in the 2016 Ivy league Tournament Championship.
• Cornell has made the Ivy League tournament each of the last six seasons and seven of the eight years that the tournament has been held.
• Following a highly successful 2017 campaign, Graap was honored as the Ivy League Coach of the Year.
• Graap guided the Big Red to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments in 2001 and 2002 as well as 2016 and 2017, reaching the semifinals in the 2002 season. The program also made a postseason NCAA appearance in 2006.
• Since she returned to her alma mater in 1997, Graap has led the team to postseason play 10 times and has won at least 10 games nine times as well.
Crease Creatures
• Cornell has three goalkeepers on its roster including veterans
Samantha Nielsen and Katie McGahan.
• Both Nielsen and McGahan have seen playing time in their Big Red careers.
• Freshman Hailey Andress rounds out the trio.

• Seven athletes return to lead a defense that was ranked eighth in the nation in 2017, including four seniors.
• Last year's unit only allowed 8.68 goals per game.

Ida Farinholt has scored in the past seven contests for the Big Red, including four goals in the Ivy League matchup with the Bulldogs.

Joey Coffy has also found the scoreboard in the last five matches, with her streak beginning with a hat trick at home with Yale.

• Paletta had a career day at Brown (4/7), garnering career-highs in goals (3) and points (4).
• Ellie Walsh has scored three times with one coming from the free position.
• Olivia Jensen notched her first-career goal against Columbia (3/10) and leads her fellow rookies in assists with four.
Milestones

Taylor Reed officially earned her 100th point following her career performance of four goals at Brown (4/7).
• She now has 101 since arriving at Cornell four years ago.

Tomasina Leska notched her 50th-career point after netting a goal against Syracuse (3/20) and now has 49 total goals.

Ida Farinholt has 50-career points thanks to her hat trick performance versus Rutgers (3/31) and
Joey Coffy recorded her 50th goal against Yale (3/24).

Sarah Phillips (45) and Farinholt (44) are nearing the 50-goal mark as well.

• After notching a free position goal against Dartmouth Brown (4/14), Caroline Allen is now second in program history in free-position goals in a single season.
• Cari Hills (1998) holds the record with 17.

Taylor Reed is currently eighth in free position goals in a career with 24.
• Hills (1995-98) has the record with 37.
• Reed also comes in at No. 9 for draw controls in a career with 98.

Joey Coffy is tied for second in draw controls in a single season with 51 and tied for fifth in draw controls in a career (104).
• Sarah Hefner has both the single season (68, 2014) and career records (159, 2012-15).
Undefeated In Overtime
• Cornell has gone into overtime twice this year (Colgate and UMass) and emerged victorious on both occasions.
• Both contests were decided by an 11-10 score.

• The 2018 team is led by three captains: seniors

• Farinholt was tied for third on the 2017 team with nine free position goals and fourth in draw controls (31).
• Reed was fifth in points (36) and tied for fourth in goals (30).
• She was also second in groundballs (38), third in draw controls (34), tied for third in free position goals (9) along with Farinholt and fifth in caused turnovers (12).
• Phillips ranked second in goals (35) and third in points (50) and assists (15).
New Kids On The Block
• The Class of 2021 features a group of 11 athletes.
• Linnea Begley, Hanna Tadie and Jessica Gay are on defense.
• Grace Paletta, Ellie Walsh and Alicia O'Neill add depth to the midfield.
• Olivia Jensen, Ava Anderson, Ally Tetreault and Finley Frechette are focused on the attack.
• Hailey Andress can be found between the pipes.
• All 11 hail from six states around the East Coast: Connecticut (Paletta), Massachusetts (Frechette, Tetreault), New Jersey (Anderson, Begley), New York (Gay, Jensen, Walsh), Pennsylvania (Andress, O'Neil) and Virginia (Tadie).
You Have To Beat The Best To Be The Best
• Cornell's 2018 schedule features six teams that earned spots in the 2017 NCAA tournament.
• The Big Red travels to Penn State on Feb. 24, to take on a squad that made it to the national semifinals.
• The following week, Penn comes to Schoellkopf Field.
• The Quakers played in the opening round.
• Two weeks later, the team plays a neutral site match with UMass who made it to the second round.
• On Mar. 20, Syracuse visits Ithaca and on Apr. 3, the team makes the trek to national semifinalist Stony Brook.
• Princeton is the last team in the regular season Cornell takes on that had NCAA tournament experience in 2017.
• The Tigers made it to the quarterfinals.
Sister, Sister
• The 2018 squad features sisters Natalie and Grace Paletta.
• Natalie is a junior on the team and is a part of the defensive line.
• Grace is a freshman midfielder.
• Natalie played for Greenwich High School while Grace had her prep career at Convent of the Sacred Heart.
• Both of their parents were athletes at Cornell.
• Their father, Stephen, was an All-American lacrosse player and captained the Big Red's 1987 national runner-up team.
• Their mother, Christine, was an All-Ivy gymnast.
• They also have a sister, Carolyn, who is a senior on Brown's women's lacrosse team.
All In The Family
• Along with the Paletta's, several other team members have familial connections to Cornell.

Sarah Phillips is the seventh member of her family to attend Cornell.
• Her grandfather, John, and father, Andy, both played lacrosse for the Big Red.
• Lucy Pedlow's cousin, George, is a member of the men's soccer team.

Joey Coffy's sister, Rochenelle, was a part of the Class of 2017.
High School Never Ends
• Freshmen Hailey Andress and Alicia O'Neil were both teammates at the Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont, Pa.
• Olivia Jensen and Ellie Walsh both played with each other at Bronxville High School in Bronxville, N.Y.
