She was a three-year letter winner as a member of the women's polo team. She played No. 1 as a freshman and sophomore and No. 2 her final season. Captain of the team in 1987, she played on Cornell's national intercollegiate championship teams of 1985, 1986 and 1987. Hahn scored on a penalty shot with one minute remaining in the second extra period to give the Big Red a 10-9 victory over the University of Virginia at the1987 national intercollegiate championships for Cornell's fourth consecutive national title. She led all Cornell scorers at the nationals in 1987 en route to earning All-America honors. Dr. Hahn, who earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell in three years, received her Ph.D. from the University of Florida. She makes her home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
