All-American 1975 when he placed 6th at outdoor NCAAs. Qualified for NCAA championships 3 times. Placed 6th at '74 and '75 outdoor NCAAs. Won SP at outdoor IC4As in 1974 & '75; 2nd at outdoor IC4As 1978. Won outdoor Heps SP in '74, '75 & '78. Won indoor Heps title in '75 and was 2nd 1978 indoor Heps. Was 2nd at 1975 Penn Relays. Holds Cornell indoor, outdoor and Barton Hall shot records. Took a year from school to prepare for '76 Olympics. Team's outstanding weightman award 1978.
