Cornell University Athletics

Rich captained the basketball team in 1936-37 and was co-captain in 1937-38. A three-year letterman in basketball, he also was a goalie on the soccer team and played on the baseball squad Rich was awarded the first Cornell Sun Outstanding Athlete of the Year Award. After graduation, he played professional basketball with the Rochester Royals from 1938-46, and was a member of the 1946 World Champions.
