Hall of Fame
He was a four-year letterman as a guard on the football team. He was captain of the Ivy League champion Big Red in 1948, when he was named to the Associated Press All-Ivy first team, the AP All-East second team and the AP All-America third squad. He was AP All-East honorable mention in 1947. He played in the North-South Shrine game in Miami on Christmas Day 1948. He also won three varsity letters in lacrosse. As an undergraduate he resided in Baldwin, N.Y.
