Cornell University Athletics

Won three varsity letters in basketball (1942, 1943 and 1947), after earning his numerals as a freshman in 1941. He ranked third on the team in scoring (129 pts.) in 1943. He was captain-elect of the 1944 team, but left the University to serve in World War II. Was acting captain of the 1946-47 team, helping the squad to an overall record of 14-8.
