She won the National Intercollegiate Women’s Fencing Association Championship (NIWFA) three times and to date is the only fencer (male or female) to win three national crowns. She did not lose any dual meet bouts. As an undergraduate, she represented Cornell in the national championships and placed fourth. After graduation, Grace was a nationally-ranked fencer until her retirement in 1956. She was named to three Olympic teams and represented the United States in the Pan American Games in 1955.
