She was a three-time Brine Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-American, earning first-team honors in 1992 and 1993 and third-team honors in 1991. The three-time IWLCA Northeast Region first-team All-American was also a three-time All-Ivy first-team midfielder. Co-captain of the 1993 team, she finished her four-year career ranked third in goals (101) and assists (33) and second in points (134). She led the 1992 team to an overall record of 11-5 and to the program's first ECAC championship, where she earned the tournament MVP award after accounting for six points (four goals, two assists) in the title game vs. Towson. Hennessey was chosen to play for the North squad in the 1993 Women's College North-South Senior All-Star lacrosse game. She is a graduate of Brookline (Mass.) High School, where she was a four-sport athlete and a league all-star in lacrosse as a junior and senior. She resides in Wayne, Pa.
