He was a three-year starter at tailback and swingback in football. He led the team in rushing as a junior, and compiled three-year rushing stats of 183x755; he caught 10 passes for 127 yards. A co-captain of the track team as a senior, he captured the 60-yard dash titles at the 1977 indoor Heptagonal championships, and the outdoor 200-yard dash at the 1978 Heps. In 1977 he was named to the United States Track and Field Federation All-America team in the 200 meters as a member of the All-America 400-meter relay quartet. He won the Penn Relay championships in 1978 in the 400-meter relay. His 400-meter unit won the IC4A crown in 1978 in 39.91, a Cornell and IC4A record. Hall is a NCAA finalist after the Cornell record of 39.83 in the semi-finals. AS a senior he was named the Cornell Daily Sun’s Athlete of the Year. Hall graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School in Warren, Ohio.
