Cornell University Athletics

A three-year letterman in both football and baseball, he was an end on the undefeated football teams of 1922 and ’23. He was named to the All-East team in 1923 and ’24 and was an honorable mention All-America selection by Grantland Rie in 1924. He captained the gridiron team as a senior. He was a star pitcher on the baseball team from 1923-25. He lived in Detroit, Mich., as an undergraduate.
