Peck was an excellent back on the football teams of 1936, 1937 and '38. He received Grantland Rice All-America honorable mention honors in 1937 and '38, and was an Associated Press All-America honorable mention pick in 1936 and '38. He also garnered Associated Press All-East honorable mention honors as a senior. Peck also participated in basketball in 1936-37 and ran on the track team's 440-yard relay that was second in the outdoor Heps in 1938 and 4th at the Penn Relays. Peck was a three-year letterman.
