A two-time NCAA All-American (seventh in 2012, fifth in 2013), Nevinger was a three-time NCAA qualifier at 141 pounds for the Big Red .A finalist at the EIWAs in 2012, he placed third in 2013 and fifth in 2014. Nevinger was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection as a senior and an honorable mention pick as a sophomore and junior. His 42 wins as a junior ranked second in a single season in school history and included an individual title at the Southern Scuffle. He graduated ranked 12th in school history in career wins (113), while his 22 pins ranked 16th.
