Considered the best squash player to ever play at Cornell to date, Chin was a four-time NISRA All-America selection, earning first-team honors in 1988, 1990 and 1991 and second-team honors in 1989. He helped the Cornell squash team into the upper echelon of the nation during his four-year career, with the 1988 compiling the best mark in Cornell history with a 17-7 record and a No. 9 ranking. He was also named to the All-Ivy squash team in 1990 and in 1991. Co-captain as a senior, he was the recipient of the prestigious John Skillman Sportsmanship Award at the '91 ISA individual championships and was named to the NISRA all-tournament team after advancing to the semifinals. He compiled a four-year overall career record of 58-14, playing mostly at Nos. 1 & 2, going 22-2 in 1988, 13-6 in '89, 13-3 in '90 and 10-3 in '91.
