Francis was a second-team All-American and honorable mention All-Ivy selection in 1987. He came to Cornell as a goalie, but made the transition to defense during his sophomore season and went on to play in 38 career games. Francis picked up 75 ground balls, including 35 in each of his final two seasons, to go along with five career goals and five career assists.
