A National Football Gazette second-team All-American as a senior, Bloedorn was a two-time All-Ivy selection and a first-team pick in 1995. A two-year starter and tri-captain as a senior, he was named first-team All-Ivy in each of his final two years by Football News. The three-year letter winner was a two-time recipient of the Sid Roth Most Valuable Down Lineman Award before he signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL and spent the 1996 season on the practice squad. In 1997, he played in three games as a center and long snapper, and the following spring he participated in NFL Europe with the England Monarchs.
