Luther was named to the 10-member first-team All-America team in 1923 by the Helms Foundation and is recognized by the NCAA as a consensus All-American. He helped Cornell to a 15-6 overall record as a senior captain He was named Outstanding Player in the Intercollegiate League according to the Cornell Daily Sun and earned All-East honors. The two-time first-team All-EIBL selection led the league with 20 made field goals and 100 free throws for a total of 140 points in his final season.
