Devine was a two-time second-team All-American defensemen in 1974 and 1975. He was also a first-team All-Ivy selection those same two seasons. Devine served as team captain in 1975 and earned the teams’ Joe Philip Memorial Award, given annually to the person contributing to the overall team effort, as well as the team’s Al “Junior” Kelz-Mike Herriott Award, awarded annually to the outstanding senior player. Following his senior season, he was selected to play in the North-South Senior All-Star game. Devine went on to play for Team USA in 1978, winning a silver medal.
