Klipstein was named to the All-America Second Team after his senior season in 1991, having co-captained the Big Red's men's squash team to a 9-6 record. Klipstein went on to win his first-round match at the Intercollegiate Squash Association Individual Championships. He was a four-year letterwinner and amassed a record of 44-28  Klipstein has been the president and CEO of US Squash since 2004.
