Elliot was a three-time Heps champion - he won the 120-yd. high hurdles outdoors in '66, the 60-yard HH indoors in '67 and the 440 hurdles outdoors in '67. He was fourth in the 60-yd HH at the indoor Heps and third in the 120 HH at the outdoor Heps in '65. Elliot was second in the 60 HH indoor Heps '66; ran the leadoff leg of the first-place Heptagonal mile relay at Penn Relays; and was second in the 120HH at outdoor IC4As in a time of 14.2, which tied the Cornell record. In 1967, Elliot was second in the 60 HH at indoor IC4As; second in 120HH at outdoor Florida Relays in time of 14.1, which set the Cornell record; ran a leg of the mile relay which was second in the College Division at the Penn Relays in school-record time of 3:10.5; placed third in 120HH at the outdoor Heps; third in 120HH at the outdoor IC4As. Elliot ran leg of mile relay which was third at the '67 outdoor NCAAs in the existing school record time of 3:06.8 to earn All-America honors.
