Pavone was an honorable mention All-American in 1995, earning a first-team All-Ivy selection that same season.  He ranked fourth at Cornell in career assists (89), sixth in career points (156), and eighth in season points (80).  He held the school record for assists in a season as a freshman (11).  Pavone was the recipient of the C.F. Morse Lacrosse Athlete of the Year award, given to lacrosse player who combines best the physical attributes of the Spartan and the scholastic achievement of the Athenian.
