Kuzmicz was named to the NCAA East All-America Team after his senior season, in which he score seven goals to go with 23 assists for 30 points after being converted to a defenseman earlier in his tenure on East Hill. He missed two of the team's 27 games in the 1973-74 season, but then returned to play the majority of the season with a modified football helmet to protect a broken jaw suffered in an overtime win against Harvard. He was also named to the All-Ivy League Team and an ECAC All-Star. He went on to play professionally for two seasons in the WHA and NAHL.
