DeStefano was an honorable mention All-American and honorable mention All-Ivy in 1988. A four-year letter winner, he served as team captain during his senior season. DeStefano was a two time C.F. Morse Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, given annually to the lacrosse player who combines best the physical attributes of the Spartan and the scholastic achievement of the Athenian
