He was a two-time All-America selection as a halfback on the men’s soccer team, earning first-team honors in 1973 after receiving honorable mention in 1972.  He was a two-time All-Ivy and All-New York State first-team selection.  He led Cornell to a 21-8-2 record and two NCAA postseason appearances in his two varsity seasons at Cornell, with the ’72 team making it all the way to the semifinals, where the Big Red lost 1-0 to UCLA.  Jordan, who was co-captain and MVP of the1973 team, was selected to participate in the East-West Soccer Bowl, honoring the country’s outstanding senior soccer players.  He was chosen in the first round of the 1974 North American Soccer League collegiate draft by the Miami Toros.  Jordan transferred to Cornell from Monroe Community College, where in 1971, he led the team to the finals of the national junior college championships.  He was selected as the tourney’s most valuable offensive player and earned junior college All-America honors.
