A two-time All-American and three-time captain, Long graduated among the all-time Cornell leaders in every offensive category. Long became the sixth player at Cornell to surpass 200 career points (242), as well as the fourth Big Red player to surpass both 100 career goals (115) and 100 career assists (127). His points total finished sixth all-time at Cornell, while his assists ranked him fourth and his goals were 12th overall. He started all 60 games in which he appeared in for the Big Red, twice earning a spot on the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List (2024, 25). Long was an honorable mention All-America selection and captured second-team All-Ivy honors as a senior after posting 31 goals and 43 assists for 74 points, good for third on the team. He was named to both the 2025 Ivy League and NCAA all-tournament teams. Long was an honorable mention All-American in 2024 after posting 26 goals and 34 assists for 60 points. His 2023 campaign was cut short due to an injury after scoring 13 goals and posting 10 assists (23 points) on the heels of a sophomore season that saw him compile 34 goals and 32 assists (66 points in 2022).  The two-time Ivy League Player of the Week also captured Rookie of the Week and Inside Lacrosse Freshman All-American accolades in 2020 before the COVID pandemic shortened the Big Red’s season when it was ranked No. 2 nationally. Long helped Cornell to a 56-15 record with four Ivy regular season titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances, one Ivy Tournament crown, a pair of national championship games and the 2025 NCAA title. That record was 37-10 in his three seasons as team captain. Long carried the team’s Hard Hat in 2023 and earned the department’s Kraig H. Kayser MBA '84 Athletics Inspiration Award, given when a student-athlete's accomplishments on and off the field inspire not only his or her teammates and coaches, but also his or her fellow classmates, professors and the entire Cornell University family.
