Hartung was an two-time NCAA All-American in the 3,000 steeplechase, finishing 13th in 2012 to earn second team accolades and finishing 18th in 2013 for honorable mention status. She won the ECAC title in the 3,000 steeplechase outdoors in 2012 and was the Heptagonal runner-up in the event in 2013. She graduated ranked in the top 10 in school history in the 3K both indoors and outdoors and ranked second in the steeplechase.
