Morgan was an honorable mention All-American and a first-team All-Ivy defenseman for a Big Red squad that went 8-5 overall. As a senior, he won three team awards, including the Dr. Ray Van Orman Memorial Award, as the squad’s MVP, the Al “Junior” Kelz-Mike Herriott Award as the outstanding senior player, and the Charlie Hustle Award, as the player who has displayed outstanding hustle on the practice and game fields. A four-year letter winner, Morgan served as team co-captain as a senior and was also an honorable mention All-Ivy selection in 1989. Following his senior season, Morgan was selected to play in the North-South All-Star game and was chosen to serve as the North team’s co-captain.
