Peirce was a third-team All-American and a first-team All-Ivy selection at attack in 1969 after helping the Big Red to an 8-3 record overall and a mark of 4-2 in the Ivy League to earn a share of the conference title. He served as team captain in 1969 and ranked second on the team in points (37), goals (20) and assists (17). Following the season, he was awarded the Al “Junior Kelz-Mike Herriott Award for the outstanding senior player. Peirce was also a second-team All-Ivy selection in 1968.
